Hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve, comedian Kathy Griffin dropped again a certified F-Bomb.

During the live broadcast from Times Square, Griffin and co-host Anderson Cooper were chatting about the top stories of the year and got to Falcon “Balloon Boy” Heene.

That’s when it happened.

Even though Anderson had already said “Falcon” to her, Griffin asked: “Fal … Fu–ing? Falcon? How do you say it?”

“You’re terrible” said Cooper after the comment.

CNN released a statement Friday saying it “regrets that profanity was used during our New Year’s Eve coverage.”

I think this is their way to get attention.

In a statement released by her publicist Friday, Griffin explained her “balloon boy” joke:

“Like every other serious reporter covering the now infamous balloon boy hoax, I struggled to pronounce his name ‘Falcon’ correctly and have gotten a kick out of how many ways I’ve heard it pronounced by other serious reporters. Just add me to that list and happy new year!”

When asked if Kathy would return next year, CNN spokeswoman Shimrit Sheetrit said planning for the 2011 celebration hadn’t yet begun.

I can’t wait to see next year’s joke.

Miley Cyrus‘ latest movie The Last Song is on its way to fans, due to hit theaters on April 2.

Starring Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, and Greg Kinnear, the movie is based on author Nicholas Sparks’ novel by the same name. The story is about a rebellious teenager sent to live with her dad for the summer, ending up by reconciling with her estranged father through their love of music.

As Miley tells MTV:

“I feel like art really does imitate life. So just showing this movie, I feel like I’m really showing a part of my growth as a person as well.”
