Walter Cronkite Dies At Age 92
Most famous broadcast journalist Walter Leland Cronkite, known as anchorman for the CBS Evening News, has passed away at the age of 92.
Walter has been working for CBS for almost 19 years, and has been named "the most trusted man in America" because of his professional experience.
The cause of death was cerebral vascular disease.
His wife Betsy died in 2005 at 64, so all that he got was his three children, Nancy and Kathy, son Walter III, and four grandchildren.
Walter Cronkite started writing from an early age, on his high school newspaper at first, and after that at the Houston Post in the 1930s, which was actually his first job.
Rapidly making his name famous, Walter was hired by Edward R. Murrow in 1950, to work for CBS.
The moment when he got the respect of all Americans was when he broke the news of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
Since then, he has been the most trustworthy man of America. Now the legend of broadcasting is gone too. RIP.
